About

Brought up in Perth, W.A, it was action from day one.

Hiking, horseriding, martial arts, swimming, yoga and later, rock climbing, swimming, mountain climbing, weight training, Pilates and extreme sports were an every day part of life.
(yes, my entire family has skydived together!)
Working in the recreational field took me through school, then through University, studying Recreation with Public Relations, then into a career as a professional Stuntwoman in 1996.
In 1997, having moved to the east coast of Australia to work as a Stunt Performer, I discovered one of my greatest loves – Personal Training.

I was lucky enough to come across Karl Ostrowski, a Personal Trainer who went on to transform my approach to strength and fitness.
He trained me for two years, and I still mix his methods into my training.
He walked his talk, and made me want to be a Personal Trainer, to give to others what he gave to me.

In 1999, whilst working on the stunt team on a film called ‘Pitch Black‘ I was approached by a delightful actress who had a fairly complex fight scene to film in the coming weeks. She asked if I would be willing to help her work through the scene, to connect with the ‘warrior’ she needed to be.
I knew after our first day training together that the blend of stuntwork and training others was the perfect path for me, and thought, ‘Hmmm…maybe I had better get formally qualified in case this happens again’

And it did.

After some time spent on the Gold Coast readying actors for their roles on various productions, came an offer to work at Fit4Films gym in Fox Studios, Sydney, under the amazing mentorship of Michelle Rowe and Eleanor O’Rourke, readying cast and crew of ‘The Matrix’ ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Superman’ for the physical demands of their jobs. What I learned from them, no courses teach.
What I have learned from my clients from all walks of life has been the best education ever, and knowing both sides of the camera has given invaluable perspective.
In 2004, after a 6 month stint training a client overseas, I formed my own Personal Training business in Sydney’s Northern Beaches which has allowed me to work with a broader spectrum of wonderful individuals, and to continue filmwork and my studies at the same time.

Over the years, I have had to train clients (and myself) in remote, unfamiliar locations. It has been the most challenging and wonderful experience.
Having checked out gyms large and small the world over, I have found that often the most fun lies in places where there are no gyms.
Moonlit runs through the Kimberley’s Boab forests remain an all time favourite, as do jogging through the South African landscape, and dawn bike rides in the Blue Mountains.
My husband and I have gone on our own wilderness journeys with a shared love of climbing mountains.
Summiting Mera Peak in Nepal and Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania set a new bench mark for my definition of ‘hard!’

I believe optimal Wellbeing is our birthright and a cornerstone of our lives.
I am committed to supporting clients, family, friends, and strangers in obtaining and maintaining their own personal definition of Wellbeing.

My education and fascination with holistic health, nutrition and training are an ongoing process.

My work is one of my great joys in life.
